MODEL RELEASED. Expectant parents looking at ultrasound scans of their unborn child. Images of a foetus can be produced using ultrasound. High frequency sounds are passed through the abdomen and the echoes recorded to build up a picture of the foetus. It is a useful technique for monitoring the health and growth of a foetus, and can be used for gender determination.
